And it's a work of art, too. Time claims the Monolink Stem is five times stronger than a typical stem. The Time Monolink Stem takes advantage of the company's proprietary Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) and compressed carbon Carbon Matrix Technology (CMT) to provide the ultimate steering responsiveness and strength to weight. The stem is designed to work with a standard 1 1/8” fork steerer tube and any handlebar with a 31.8-millimeter clamp area. The entire stem is carbon fiber, including the face plate. The bolts are titanium. The Monolink Stem is intended to provide an 80-degree (-10degree) angle. To attach the stem to the bar, Time embeds the bolts into the body of the stem. The face plate goes over the bar, and nuts with Allen heads secure everything in place. Shipping and handling within the US will be determined by destination.
