Description: Alright here's the deal. I fantisized about owning this backpack for years, then by the time I bought it, a kickstarter bag I also was smitten on arrived shortly after (xpac boundary prima). I honestly cant remember why I chose one over the other, perhaps I figured I could return this one but not the kickstarter one and then just never returned the this bag, but here we are years later and this bag is still freaking SICK. It practically defined a whole generation of bags to come after it. Half of me wants to keep it since its no longer in production, the other half of me wants to sell it at a premium price for all the bagophiles (or whatever we're called) like me since it has literally never been used and Im sure you could scour the internet to try to find one and still come up with nothing. I've watched Timbuk2 as an entire company change in the years since this bag was designed. Theyve come up with derivative designs at a cheaper price point and cheaper quality, and companies like MissionWorkshop have taken their place in terms of creative, premium products. Description from an old page on REI that is somehow still up:Designed for commutes and lots of gear, the expandable Timbuk2 Especial Tres Cycling Backpack adjusts to meet your hauling needs and offers highly water-resistant protection for your goods. –– Constructed out of premium-quality Cordura® ripstop nylon, the pack's materials offer water-resistant performance and feature highly reflective materials–– The internal waterproof drop liner keeps water out, and a flexible cooling panel feels good on your back and keeps you cool–– Hits of reflective paneling keep you visible on late night rides, and an improved taper design enables clear over-the-shoulder visibility–– Access the main compartment easily via roll-top opening or through side access zipper; roll-top closure helps keep the elements out–– High density padded backpack straps with cooling mesh for ventilation–– Backbender flexible cooling panel with mesh vents for superior comfort and ventilation.–– 2 external pockets fit water bottles or U-locks–– The Timbuk2 Especial Tres Cycling Backpack has an internal slip pocket that fits up to a 15 in. laptop–– Expandable front panel; external compression straps; reflective logos Here is review if you want to peruse:https://gearmashers.com/timbuk2-especial-tres-backpack-2017-review/ Please understand that offers will be accepted but will still be weighed in light of the fact that part of me wants to keep this bag and am in no rush to get rid of it, compared to some of the other stuff Im selling. Perhaps the asking price is to high, perhaps Ill change it at somepoint, perhaps Ill just wait for a silicon/crypto whale to stumble onto it and grab it for the swag value--I know I would gush if I saw someone today with this bag! I mean this bag has a bottle opener built into the front strap! If youre avid urban cyclist, you want this backpack.
