Description: Threaded 9" Chucking Extension Tight Fit Tools model 00456 9" Chucking Extension with internal threads allows TightFit® threaded shank drill bits and other threaded tools to be used conventionally/normally with your standard power drill. There is also the added benefit of reduced tool change times. Using it with TightFit® threaded shank drill bits provides the utility of an expensive set of "deep reach" extension drill bits. Just insert the 1/4" round shank into your drill chuck and tighten down on the shank, then thread a drill bit in the other end and your ready to go (please note that the drill bit will self tighten with use). It has a body length of 9" and diameter of 3/8" with 1/4-28 UNF-2B internal threads, a shank diameter of 1/4" with a shank length of 1-1/4". Made in America of 1144 medium-carbon steel (stressproof) and black oxided to prevent corrosion and enhance appearance.
