The wings are made of beautiful Tiffany style striated and stained glass and cabochons held securely together with tin coated copper, not lead. The stable base is made of resin and is in an antique tarnished brass style. This is a sturdy and well made piece of art that can be used as a night light or accent lamp. With the wide base and weight of about 1lb 16oz there is little worry of it accidentally tipping over. 25w is max wattage for the bulb socket so it's not going to be bright enough to read by, but a gorgeous accent piece light on or off. The cord is 5ft long and includes a inline rocker switch to easily turn on and off.
