Description: Threse three engaging porcelain on copper dials are from a Lionel Corporation type TL Taffrail Log (a type of instrument towed behind a ship for measuring the speed its speed or distance travelled). The largest one is 4.25" in diameter and the identical smaller ones are 3 7/8" in diameter. All three have some losses to their porcelain. They were found in the stock on a long time nautical Instrument repair shop in Everett Washington called Island Marine Instrument Company whose proprietor recently died. Since he handled a lot of material from WWII I think these might date to the 1940's. Stock number SA2B-213 (3)
