Description: Black bellies plover shorebird decoy Attributed to Thomas Gelston (1851-1925) from Oyster Bay New York Made of what looks to be at least 3 pieces of cork The bill is most likely original although I don’t know for sure Missing one eye and the other glass eye may or may not be a replacement The dowel and stand are not original As seen in pictures this bird is heavily worn and missing large chunks of cork on the side and at the tail One side does display nicely Please view all pictures and feel free to ask any questions prior to purchase
