We received a sample fiberglass hull with gelcoat from a shipping company. The customer requires to measure the thickness of the gelcoat to ensure that it is within the specified standard. Usually the thickness range is about 0.25mm to1mm, and in most cases the thickness is about 0.5 mm. Hull manufacturers are usually most concerned about whether the gelcoat meets the minimum thickness requirements, and we can verify the minimum thickness of the gelcoat through the A-scan waveform.
