Description: The World's Fair Colortypes & Monotones, Artist's Edition, official publication of the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. The book has a black paper cover with corded binding in a scrapbook format, measuring 10.5 x 13 inches. There are over 50 thick pages of color and monotone illustrations depicting the various buildings and Exhibits held at the World's Fair. From Wikipedia: "The Louisiana Purchase Exposition, informally known as the St. Louis World's Fair, was an international exposition held in St. Louis from April 30 to December 1, 1904. Local, state, and federal funds totaling $15 million were used to finance the event. More than 60 countries and 43 of the then-45 American states maintained exhibition spaces at the fair, which was attended by nearly 19.7 million people." The black cover is a bit frayed, the cording holding binding together is in good shape. The pages show a slight discoloration, and very little foxing. A few of the pages have a slight tear in the bottom or right edge from use. There are a few small black spots here and there on the pages. A few of the upper right corners are creased. Please see photos for some of these areas. Published by Germaine Publishing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
