It is stamped 'Steel Ebonite', which was their term for hard rubber. This is a "NEW YORK" era piece, the most desirable period for this manufacturer. The facing number "G7" is stamped on the table. The tip opening is fairly wide...it measures 1.3mm (.051"). I would say that probably puts this in the realm of a 'jazz' mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. The table, tip, and side rails are perfectly smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. There are some minor scratches/scuffs on the exterior of the body. The rubber is very faded/discolored, but this is purely cosmetic in nature. The cork is in decent condition, but it might need to be replaced or adjusted for proper fit on your instrument.
