These sets most likely WON'T work on their own without some technical knowledge and external hardware / software. They are being sold for the parts ONLY. The gun ALONE cost over $7k EACH as EVERYTHING is custom made. The VOID was a short lived, expensive shot at high quality immersive VR that was YEARS ahead of it's time. In the mean time, you can own a piece of history with this set. Place it on display or wear it for fun, or for the tinkerers out there, take apart the THOUSANDS of dollars worth of high-end VR equipment contained within and recreate it into something new. The possibilities are endless! These are units from the Game Room; I.E., these were units setup as ready for guests to put on and go into the experience, NOT benched non-working items. The items were put into service in late 2019 and used for around 4 months before COVID closed the doors, and eventually the chain for good. As such, these have been sitting uncharged for well over 1.5 years. The main batteries seem fairly resilient and we've been able to get them to all show 'Charging' and eventually 'Battery Ready' on the charge station... however the gun battery seems to have issues charging correctly and only worked intermittently for a short period. It will likely need a new lithium-ion battery pack or cell. The same may be true for the headset and a second internal battery which enables hot-swap. We were unable to test these units fully due to the above battery issues, and even after the battery is fixed, there would likely be a bunch of external systems on wireless networks that the pack would be looking for to enable any kind of functionality. As such, these are sold AS-IS and for parts ONLY with NO RETURNS. These items are bulky and require a large box for shipping. Items are available for pickup in Thousand Oaks.
