This is the official adaptation of George Lucas's roughdraft screenplay for what would become Star Wars - the film that changed motion pictures and the world. You'll see familiar characters and places - but not all is the same in this long-ago and faraway galaxy. Still, strap yourself in for high adventure and lazersword duels, Jedi Knights, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and a battle to defeat the evil Empire! I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This copy is in very good condition, with a solid spine and excellent overall inside pages (photo#13 example). Other than a spine corner indent, it has some lighter signs of wear, all of which primarily affect its externals. **Photo#3:-Spine edge: 4 tiny-to-small color break patches around its middle. **Photo#4: -Upper spine corner: Scuffing, ding/indent, causes light ~1/2" indent/depression around it on the front cover (photo#10 w/illumination), and a moderate one around it on the back cover (photo#11 w/illumination). **Photo#5: -Lower spine corner: Light scuffing. **Photo#6: -Front cover top edge: Little if any shelf-wear/scuffing.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff. **Photo#7:-Front cover bottom edge: Light shelf-scuffing/wear along most of it.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend, goes thru ~5 pages lightly. **Photo#8: -Back cover top edge: Little if any shelf-wear/scuffing.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff. **Photo#9:-Back cover bottom edge: ~1/2" scuff near its middle, otherwise some light if any shelf-wear/scuffing around.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend, goes thru ~5 pages lightly. **Additionally: Front cover possesses a light ~1/2" indent/depression near its middle (photo#10 w/illumination), shows as a light indent on ~1/5 pages mostly under direct lighting. Some small/light scuff patches around the title, and another towards/around the bottom outer corner. Back cover has a light ~3/4" scratch near the spine edge's middle. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While this copy is not for the serious collector searching for a pristine copy, for a more casual reader looking to attain this older /hard-to-find book at a cheap price it would be perfect. I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots.
