Description: Thank you for viewing my item! This listing is for a BRAND NEW copy of The Shining (VHS, 1981) Original 1st Release Alternate Cover Art. Tape is brand new and has never been opened. This tape was never released with shrink wrap. There are some surface marks and scratches from age. There are also some creases on the front and a very small crack on the bottom right of the plastic (pictures 7-9). There is a sale sticker on the front from 1986. The seal has a small air bubble from age, but it is still sealed down on all corners. The sticker is original and has never been tampered with / removed. Please see pictures for details! This is the HOLY GRAIL of VHS collecting. I could not find any sealed copies of this tape anywhere on the internet. Most, if not all of these tapes were designed for a rental store in 1981. This one was never in the rental rotation. There are no marker marks, stickers, or tags that show this was a rental. This is the alternate cover art that was featured before the famous well known "Here's Johnny" cover. This is a one of a kind VHS tape and there might not be another sealed copy known to exist!!
