There was another edition of about 500 copies before this one but that was published in the UK by someone else. Volume II: Anthropogenesis.Covers are worn. Corners are soft, bumped, frayed, and worn through. Edges are worn and fraying. Spine and spine ends are worn. Fading to spine. Surface rub and wear to front and back. Scratches. Back has faded out sections as shown. All pages have very heavy age related toning with endpapers being darker. . Some pages have foxing, spots, stains. Binding is loose. The back cover is fully disconnected.The front few pages are almost disconnected and hang on a couple of threads.Cracking visible between pages apparent. Former owner's name inside front cover and on first free endpaper along with other notations as shown, with one dating to 1888 and one to 1948. A few margin highlight lines and other assorted marks throughout. There might be some more marks remaining. Not every nitty gritty condition detail is mentioned but the above should give an overall sense of condition.
