Description: The QMX Dracula ring released in 2007 licensed by Universal Studios and Forrest J. Ackerman was cast Directly from the Original Prop Ring in his Collection Condition: This item has never been worn or displayed. It has been stored safely since day one. QMX located the original Dracula Crest ring in the collection of science fiction collector Forrest Ackerman. QMX was permitted to mold this unique prop replica. The mold is made from the original prop ring, documentation, photographs and measurements. It is a size 9 as this is a direct pull from the original prop ring. This resulted in the platinum master mold from which the prop ring was pulled. Originally planned for 1931 units worldwide, QMX produced less than 200 pieces making this an extremely rare piece of Dracula history. The certificate of Authenticity states that Lugosi wore the ring in the 1931 film. As this was an error, Universal & QMX ceased production of the most authentic cast ever created, making the piece even more unique and valuable to fans and collectors. To make THIS particular ring even more amazing, still far more rare, this is one of only a few original master proofs. I know this as fact because I personally helped the design team that performed the actual casting of the ring. Because this is one of only a very few original 925 sterling silver and carnelian stone proofs there is no plastic coffin box included as there was no coffin boxes yet made at the time.
