Description: What a great antique book! Published in 1910, this hardback edition published by Frederick, J, Drake and Company is 372 pages. I believe this might be the original first edition, but please do your research to make sure. Reprints/fax families are selling for $80+. Includes essays on the history of furniture, taste in design, color and materials, with a full explanation of the canon of good taste in furniture. An interior page of the book describes it as “beautifully and copiously illustrated” … over 200 drawings and sketches. As for condition, please take a close look at the photos. Generally speaking, it is solid with a good firm binding. There is a nick/tear on the front cover and some bumps on the corners. The back cover has pencil marks on it as does some of the pages in the book. I am not an antiquarian book dealer – just someone who loves books. For me this copy is in solid condition.
