The graphite mold can be used for molten glass or as a polymer clay push mold that you can bake the polymer in before de-molding. You can also roll across the waves. If you do not like how that looks you can rotate the mold 45 degrees for a different effect. The relative low temperature that polymer bakes at will never effect the mold and can be used countless times. If used for polymer no lubrication is needed. Our machinists are encouraged to initial their work in a discrete nonfunctional area of the graphite, something we don't normally get to do in our regular custom machined parts.
