This tool is designed to clamp around the 1" or 3/4" (nominal) hand piece, (no threads), fixing it in place. Also a model to fit a smaller, generic 1/2" handpiece is available in our store! By placing the 1/2 inch shank, (or a "custom" made 3/8", 5/16" or 1/4" shank - includes a $25 custom machining charge), in your QC toolholder, you will be able to use your Foredom handpiece tool as a cut-off tool to very precisely cut your bolts, screws to length! Great for the pen turner who wants to trim the brass inner tube or make his own tubes from bulk tubing! Custom cue makers have found this to be a great item! Precise grinding can be achieved by using the many sizes and profiles of grinding stones, discs etc. on the market while in your lathe's compound. Placing off-center holes in your projects while held in your lathe's chuck and using a drill bit in the moto-tool is easier than moving it to the drill press and having to do a set up again!
