Clark's "The Neighbors" (and his earlier daily panel "Side Glances") gently poked fun at the foibles and familiar situations of everyday life. This daily depicts a cute young secretary trying to do the right thing (or, more likely, trying to impress her boss by being seen as doing the right thing), in beseeching her boss to tell her boyfriend to stop calling her at the office. The caption is written in blue pencil below the art. Beautifully rendered in ink and crayon in Clark's sublime loose and flowing art style. An excellent example of this classic comic strip (which ran from 1939-1976). Condition: -The art is in very good to excellent overall condition. Minor to moderate age/handling wear.
