Description: Here we offer a scarce UK edition of The Magician's Own Book, by Robert A. Olsen (uncredited) and published by John Camden Hotten, London. As is often true of magic books, which tended to sit longer on store shelves (or were even sold door-to-door), the book is undated, but it bears a 1914 inscription. Blue boards are stained and edgeworn (please see pics.) Intact endpapers bear a period bookplate and a plate advertising other offerings by the editor, W. H. Cremer. Preliminaries bear a penciled inscription and several rubber-stamp impressions. Binding is very tight and square; text and numerous illustrations are bright, clean, and crisp. Measures approximately 7.25 x 5-inches; 326 pages, plus a large packet of ads. This very special magic book will make a great addition to your collection or an intriguing gift for a very special person.Click HERE to see our other offerings that a magician may be interested in!** Have you seen all the amazing first and rare editions of iconic books we offer?
