Description: Very good condition, no ownership marks or other writing within. Cover and spine has some handling and shelf wear. Bottom of spine on right has a separation of 1 inch. Front cover lower right corner is barked and dogeared, by about one inch on each side. This affects the first 10 pages of the catalog but does not affect readability. Front cover has two half-inch tears from handling, one on the right and one on the bottom. Rear cover is intact, with minor handling wear. All in all, very good condition for a volume meant for heavy reading and handling, and printed on cheap paper. Mild mellowing of paper throughout to an ivory tone. Spine is straight. Binding is tight. ----- "We are as gods and we might as well get used to it. So far remotely done power and glory-as via government, big business, formal education, church-has succeeded to the point where gross defects obscure actual gains. In response to this dilemma and to these gains a realm of intimate, personal power is developing-the power of individuals to conduct their own education, find their own inspiration, shape their own environment, and share the adventure with whoever is interested. Tools that aid this process are sought and promoted by The Next Earth Catalog."
