Description: The Italian Biography of Sir Robert Dudley, Knt Known in the Florentine Histories as il Duca di Nortombria under the Diploma of Ferdinand II, Emperor of Germany Dated March 9 1620. To Which are Added Some Biographical Notices of Dame Alice Dudley his Wife. Published by Baxter Printer, Oxford. Undated, though from around the 1849 mark (frontis illustration date). Bound in the publisher's hardcover boards, titled in gilt to the front cover. Boards with fading and soiling, corners and spine ends bumped. Lacks the front endpaper. Previous owner's plate to the inner cover (the Norfolk book collector, Ron Fiske of Morningthorpe Manor, Norfolk). Light toning to the pages, some spotting to the plates, a few leaves uncut to the upper edge, a couple of closed edge tears. Inner hinges starting to crack, though holding. 109pp. Good/None.
