Jacket bears no price but is not clipped; evinces significant deterioration and damage to spine and extremities, including notable chipping, age-toning, UV fading, and damp-staining. Nevertheless, all spine titles & text remain complete and legible. Jacket face and rear panel, as well as interior jacket flaps, are similarly worn and age-toned (sans damp-staining), but all original text and graphics of same remain quite well-preserved and in very good condition. Jacket has no evident repairs, no major tears or creases save for large aforementioned chips missing from crown and tail vicinity of spine panel and one lateral crease to top edge of front panel. Please see photos for further details. Book is in excellent condition, showing little wear and deterioration from age or use. Grey cloth binding does evince very minor wear at extremities of covers and spine, esp. bumped corners and shelf wear to tail of spine, also some minor evidence of handling at crown of same.Otherwise book is in pristine condition within and without. Binding is very sound and square, even reasonably tight; text block is complete and undiminished, with crisp, clean, bright pages throughout. Unmarked within; no names, nameplates, inscriptions or other markings anywhere. Overall, a Very Good or better First Edition of this Vintage Unabridged Omnibus Hornblower Trilogy; a must-have for any established Hornblower aficionado and collector, as well as a fine introductory volume for initiates to Forester's acclaimed classic Maritime series.
