Norris, and bombings by Irish Fenians at the House of Commons. Among the many fine engravings are a two-page spread of Windsor Castle, an avalanche in northen Italy, a portrait of General Gordon of Khartoum, a giant foldout depicting British soldiers in action on the way to Metammeh during the Mahdist War, and the funeral of Victor Hugo passing the Arc de Triomphe.
