Description: The Gogen Yamaguchi Letters Collection. There are two letters addressed to me, one dated December 22, 1974 and the other dated March 13, 1975. I was planning a trip to study with Master Gogen Yamaguchi in Japan and these were his responses. The business card was given to me in person by Master Yamaguchi when I visited his dojo. The envelope, with stamp and post mark, has one side torn, as it was how I opened the letter. There is only one envelope. Both the business card and envelope are protected in a plastic sleeve. Gogen Yamaguchi, or as he is known worldwide, The Cat, was the highest ranking teacher of Japanese Goju-Ryu Karate in the world. I began my martial arts training in 1958 and it was my dream to travel to Japan. These items are being sold as a set only for $400.
