Description: This is 'The Forgetful Robot' by Paul W. Fairman. This is a stated First Edition. Holt Library Edition with pictorial boards, original dust jacket, and a jacket created by the famed illustrator Stephen Fabian. Mr. Fabian became interested in digital design in his later years and created new jackets for books in his personal collection - this being one of them. Sometimes borrowing cover designs by other artists - this design is modified from the original jacket. This book was purchased at a sale at his home in Wayne, NJ. A one of a kind item from his personal collection. Book has bumping to corners, a very light library stamp on the bottom edge, numerical stamp on the title page, and tape marks on the front and rear pastedowns - see scans provided. Original jacket has edge wear and some small closed/repaired tears. There is a corner cut on the front flap but original price remains on the lower corner. Tape mark on bottom of spine. Mr. Fabian's facsimile jacket has been modified from the original on the rear panel and is in excellent condition. Please see all scans provided.
