Description: Up for sale is The Ferns of Great Britain bound with The Fern Allies. Both by John Sowerby. Published 1855 & 1856. Numerous color plates. Very scarce. Volumes bound together. Overall good. Boards are fair with wear and soiling and chipping particularly at spine. Color plates are in generally good shape. Wear to interior, light browning and chipping to edges in places. Interior is probably VG although there are issues at spine and binding. Not perfect but a decent copy of these two great pieces. Plates are hand colored engravings. See photos. They give a good representation of condition. Note several dried ferns are in the book. I have left them. Please email with questions and see my store for other great items.
