The copyright date listed inside is 1953. The books show wear for their age with edge wearing and some minor damage to top and bottom of spine (see pictures). The inside binding of volume 1 has a fair amount of wear but volume 2 is much better. There is a few inscriptions on the inside covers that are very minor. The pages have very minimal wear and are free from highlighting, writing, and tears. The page block has some light stains, but the inside is clean. The book plastic protection also shows wear.
