Description: Up for sale is a copy of "THE COMMERICAL TOURIST; or, GENTLEMAN TRAVELLER". A Satirical Poem, In Four Cantos; Embellished With Colored Engravings. The Fourth Edition, Greatly Enlarged. 1829 Edition by Charles Hempel. With 4 colored full-page engravings. Overall, the book is in Good Condition, except for the boards. Both partial leather boards are present, but no longer attached. The boards have scratches, scuffing and the corners are bumped. The spine is cracked and parts are missing. The leather is rubbed and chipping. The front end page and 1/2 title page are also loose from the book. Internally, there are 148 pages. Some toning to the pages. Some spotting on the pages. Pencil writing on some of the pages by previous owners. The plates are in nice condition, however, without tissue guards, they have browned onto their facing pages (the frontis does have a tissue guard). Some of the text is faded.
