This is a hard one to find in an uncut version. This runs the full time of 65 min. ( A lot of tv copies were around and ran only about 56 min). Another interesting note about this film is the The Catman (in makeup) is played by Robert Wilke (the great character actor of the era.) A recommended title for all movie buffs. SYNOPSIS: Author Charles Regnier returns to 1896 Paris after some exotic travels. He has also written a bestselling book which the Ministry of Justice would like to ban. On that very night, an official is killed in the dark streets of Paris.... clawed to death! The prefect of police suspects some sort of a "were-cat". This comes from a nice film transfer.
