Description: This is an excerpt from the March 1921 issue of EXCEPTIONAL PHOTOPLAYS: Bulletin No. 4, a publication of the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures. It contains a two-page article on THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI. It is an excerpt from the magazine, with only pages 3-4, and 7-8 on the reverse. When opened, it is 12" x 10", and is on gray paper. It contains a list of the cast, some credits, and a very positive critical article on the film, one of the true classics of early horror cinema. PROVENANCE: In 1977 I bought a great deal of paper material as well as film magic lantern slides from the estate of a man who had run a local movie theatre in the 1910s. This was among the papers, and I have kept it ever since. Again, this is only an excerpt removed from the magazine, and not the complete magazine.
