The Blessed Damozel proved to be a landmark work in Cox's career. This rare book includes 20 drawings by Cox in sepia tones, along with the text by Dante Gabriel Damozel. Unpaginated. All prints are present. Large folio measuring 15.5" tall x 12" wide x 1" thick. Publisher's cloth with gilt cover design by Cox. Gilt top edge. Deckled foredge and foot. External cover shows wear, particularly along corners and edges. Internal foxing and continuous dampstain along the textblock foredge throughout, yet drawings are magnificent and uncompromised.
