Description: The Beatles- Stowe School 1963-- Japanese Release with Obi. 2 CD set. SEALED. Limited Edition Release: This first edition includes a bonus CD with BBC live tracks, curated to mirror the Stowe School performance order. This is an approximate 60 minute live performance at Stowe School a prestigious boys' school in Buckinghamshire, England. This school concert took place on April 4, 1963 approximately 2 weeks after the Beatles released their debut album. Supposedly John Bloomfield a 15 year old boy at the time recorded the performance and kept it for about 60 years. It has recently been made available. Please note that you will be receiving a sealed copy of this release. Photographs # 5thru #14 are from my opened copy so you can see contents. Please see photographs. IN MY OPINION THIS CONCERT RELEASE IS PRIMARILY OF HISTORICAL INTEREST ONLY and INTENDED for BEATLES COMPLETISTS. The SOUND QUALITY of the Stowe School concert IS THAT of A VERY LOW QUALITY BOOTLEG RECORDING-- Which after all is essentially what it was. A student, in 1963, recording a concert at his school on a less than professional quality reel to reel tape recorder. The vocals are unfortunately low in the mix. For comparison, the fidelity level of this concert is substantially worse than The Beatles Live at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany 1962 The bonus CD that is curated from BBC live tracks to mirror the Stowe School Concert is of somewhat higher sound quality. Again, the SOUND QUALITY OF THE STOWE CONCERT IS NOT UP TO TYPICAL COMMERCIAL STANDARDS. This 2 CD set will be sent by USPS Media Mail.
