Description: This is a waterproof polypropylene sticker (not a record) reproducing the holy grail of Beatles records; Please Please Me on stereo gold and black Parlophone (PCS 3042) - side 1.Released on March 22nd 1963, while Parlophone were transitioning to the fresher looking black and yellow label, the first 2 pressings of The Beatles debut album were on the existing gold and black label. It was released in both mono and stereo and this repro is the much rarer stereo version. It also features the "Dick James Music Co" credit. (This was changed to "Northern Songs" for the second pressing.) Diameter is 100mm (3.937 inches) - size of the label on a 33rpm album. The hole in the middle is printed rather than an actual hole. UV printed onto top quality polypropylene, with a matt laminate finish, the printing quality is razor sharp. The image isn't scanned; it's lovingly recreated layer by layer. Colour-wise it doesn't quite match the original 1962 label; the black background was shinier and the gold lettering was embossed. My labels have 'process' colours, so while I've tried to accentuate the quality of the gold lettering of the original, it won't be a perfect match. Bear in mind also that there isn't an actual hole in the middle; just a printed one.Strong adhesive backing; stick on a guitar case, laptop, record box, exercise book, vinyl record, on the side of a speaker etc. Spot your luggage immediately by sticking it on your suitcase. Can be stuck over an existing 33rpm LP record label, but bear in mind that the centre hole is a graphic rather than an actual hole. Also please bear in mind that you only have one chance to stick it on a record (because it's super sticky) and it takes a lot of precision to get it dead centre.
