Description: The Band Of The Coldstream Guards conducted by Major Douglas A. Pope RCA Living Stereo LSP 1480 Matrix / Runout: J2PY-1546 A1 Matrix / Runout: J2PY-1547) A2 LP: (Graded) Very Good ++ / Excellent Near Mint Minus, according to Goldmine record grading definitions. This record grades as an LP that appears to either have been handled and played in a cautious manner but picked up some small number of surface sleeve scuffs and hairlines along the way. Atypically, Side One is Near Mint Minus, with scant evidence of any scuffs and hairlines and Side Two is more characteristic of the half grade between VG ++ and Excellent. The plating surfaces retain a very strong luster and the labels are in great shape with just the scarce indication of any spindle trails. The record is also exceptionally clean and turntable ready. Play Graded: Near Mint Plus - This LP, in terms of absence of surface noise, is very nearly in the range of the quietness of a Compact Disc, which is a key point of value with RCA's LIVING STEREO releases. So, on the below linear graph, the rating for the intervals between tracks rating is 9.6 or better and during song selections, is 9.7 and better. The quietness of digital and the richness of analog. The sonics, in terms of clarity, dynamics, imaging, balance and definition, are magnificent. Cover: (Graded) Near Mint - extremely light degree of shelfwear anywhere on the cover. A couple of tiny spots - one where about 1/8" of cover slick is torn (lower Left front corner) and another miniscule scrape (middle Right margin) - please see close up photo details provided on these. All solid seams and fully legible spine printing.
