Share the magic! ****** Tom Craven put out this interesting packet trick, which owes some of its method/effect to a phase from Art Emerson's 1-2-3-4 Trick -- where a freely chosen card (in a packet of four) has a different color back from the other three cards. But Craven extends the effect so that each of the four suits is shown to have a different colored back fromt he other three -- sort of a "Jumping Back" type effect. The trick also is reminiscent of Jim Swain's Capitulating Cards, in that the the ending has four different colored backs. (And with a tiny bit of optional sleight-of-hand, you could leave the four cards for examination) THE EFFECT: Magi shows a packet of face-up Queens and asks the spectator to choose any Queen. (Say she chooses the Hearts) The packet is turned facedown, and counted to show three blue backs and one different color/design back. That card is the Hearts card. But the magi continues, counting the packet again, showing three blue backs and a different odd colored back, which is shown to be Diamonds. Repeat this showing that now Clubs has a different back from the three blue cards. For the final card, packet is counted showing three RED backs, with only one blue card, which is Spades! To end the four Queens are shown to have four different colored/designed backs. All with a five card packet, and one (repeated) sleight! No thick packet edges, and no complicated handling to remember. Very strong stuff for very little work :-) This listing is for a packet with QUEENS.
