Thai Dragon Peppers are 50,000 – 100,000 SHU. The plants grow 30-45 cm (12-18”) high on short sturdy bushes with a 30-45 cm (12-18”) wide spread. Leaves are elongated and dark green. Tiny delicate white flowers give rise to clusters of upright green peppers that turn bright red at maturity. Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost and transplant into garden well after the danger of frost. Keep seedlings moist but do not over water. Transplants should be initially watered in well, and plants will be most productive with regular irrigation and full sun. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).
