Description: A miniature painting of the famous Alamo at San Antonio, Texas, by noted Texas artist Richard Weers (1932-2022), measuring 4 3/4" by 5" framed. The painting is signed in the heavy paint at lower left "WEERS" and the artist's business card is affixed on the reverse. Weers entered the art world in 1974 when he was already in his forties. He studied in Texas as well as at the Art Students League in New York, the Scottsdale Artists School, and the Fechin Institute in Taos, New Mexico. The artist painted in a number of different styles and was able to excel over a broad range of subject matter from landscape to still life.
