Description: Selling is a 5" X 8" Vintage Original Two-Sided AUTOGRAPH LETTER handwritten and signed by TED DONALDSON on November 20, 1978 in black ink with his own hand. The letter is written to PETER HANSON, a well-known movie memorabilia collector for over 50 years. I am the only one on Ebay to currently have a Autograph Letter for sale by this former child star. His Autograph is also very RARE to find.Also selling is a 5" X 3" Vintage Original AUTOGRAPH CARD signed in black ink by TED DONALDSON with his own hand.Also included in this listing is a 6 3/8" X 3 3/4" Vintage Original envelope that the letter and card were mailed to Peter Hanson in originally and postmarked Nov. 21, 1978. The envelope has a red 15 cent Holmes stamp.TED DONALDSON is an American former child actor. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ted Donaldson's career began in December 1937 when he appeared in an NBC radio show. As an eight-year-old, Ted portrayed Harlan in the Broadway stage production of "Life With Father". In 1943, he played alongside Gregory Peck in the play "Sons and Soldiers". The performance led to a starring role as Arthur "Pinky" Thompson in his first movie: "Once Upon a Time" in 1944, opposite Cary Grant and Janet Blair. He was put under contract with Columbia after the film was finished. In 1945, Ted Donaldson was cast in "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn", which marked the directorial debut of Elia Kazan. Donaldson also starred as Danny Mitchell in the 1940s "Rusty" film series about a German shepherd dog. At age nineteen, he had his last credited role as Jerry Fortness in Phone Call from a Stranger (1952). Autograph Letter, Autograph Card and envelope are all in Very Good Condition with minimal handling wear. There are 2 folds in the letter, as it was placed in this envelope in 1978 to mail this letter.I have reduced the price from 249.99 to 124.99.
