Her research is focused in the area of teams in extreme environments, examining the influence of isolation, confinement, and asynchronous communication as it affects team performance and well-being. Current work considers spaceflight team skills training, the interactive effects of fatigue and team functioning, and coordination across a complex multi-team system. Dr. Landon supports team skills training development and implementation for both flight controllers and astronauts at NASA Johnson Space Center. She earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, and has held research and training development positions at the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Energys Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
