Description: 2 Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan Series Children’s Books 1918, 1928 Grosset & Dunlap This is 2 children’s books of the Tarzan series of books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Tarzan Lord of the Jungle and Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar. Both books are hardcovers published by Grosset and Dunlap. Printed in the USA. 1918 Copyright Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar. 350 pages. Covers have considerable wear, very worn edges and corners and spine has a surface tear. Corners are dog eared. Inside cover page has a handwritten name. Title page looks like it was glued together during published near the spine and had to be pulled apart, which left some tearing and surface wear. Interior pages are in good condition with no tears or writing but I did see some large crease marks on a couple of pages and some pages have tiny earmarked corners. I saw one page that had some very faint smudge marks that effected the text of the page but was still quite readable. When looking at outer pages top edges have spot discolorations and pages look wavy, like it had some moisture damage at one time. 1928 Copyright Tarzan Lord of the Jungle. 309 pages. This book is in slightly better condition but upper spine has a large tear. Edges and corners are still heavily worn and corners are dog eared. One of the blank pages after the cover page has a large chunk torn out but, otherwise the pages are in very good condition with no tears, stains, writing or creased pages.
