Description: Tamiya 1/32 Aircraft Series No.27 US Navy Vought F4U-1D Corsair 60327 NEW Japan Description Condition: New The U.S. Navy's Corsair overwhelmed the Japanese forces with its high-speed performance and heavy armament in the latter half of World War II. Among them, the F4U-1D was officially adopted as the first carrier-borne aircraft in April 1944. It is characterized by a semi-bubble canopy without a window frame, a propeller thickened from the base, and a cockpit positioned higher to improve visibility. In addition to the six 12.7mm machine guns in the wings, it can carry up to 2,000 pounds of armament and drop tanks on two pylons on the underside of the inner wing, and eight rockets can be mounted on the outer wing. The F4U-1D is a plastic model assembly kit of the F4U-1D, the first aircraft to be installed on an aircraft carrier. The kit faithfully reproduces the features of the F4U-1D, such as the frameless semi-bubble canopy and wide propeller. Flaps and elevators can be selected to be raised or lowered. The two-part engine cowl can be removed even after completion. The main landing gear and tailwheel can be selected either parked or in flight. Includes two tanks and two 1,000-pound bombs, plus eight rocket-propelled grenades. Two types of markings are included, one for the U.S. Navy and the other for the Marine Corps. Features:- Main wings can be assembled in either deployed or folded position. The canopy of the F4U-1D is accurately modeled with its characteristic semi-bubble canopy without a frame. The thickened propeller from the root is also a highlight. Eight rocket-propelled grenades can be mounted on the underside of the outer wing. The heavily armed state can be reproduced. Two tanks that can be attached to the underside of the inner wing are included. Two 1,000 pound bombs are also included. The excellent loading capacity is also included. The instrument panel is realistically reproduced with dial decals applied from behind the transparent lens parts. Elevator can be selected to be raised or lowered. The main landing gear and tailwheel can be selected either parked or in flight. A stand is also provided for displaying the aircraft in flight. The crew members are included in seated and standing poses. The P&W R-2800 engine is reproduced with sharply molded air-cooled fins. The cylinder covers are also delicately finished. Seatbelts and other parts are sharply finished with etched parts. Mask stickers for painting the windshield are also included. Includes 12-page B5 size booklet with explanatory materials. Includes color photos of the modeling process and other details that can be used as reference for production. Large-size color painting diagrams are included to help you get an idea of the painting and markings. Payment Please pay within 5 days after the auction closed.
