Description TAMIYA sports car series #24263 1/24 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM 2000 Team Original-Teile Finished body About Car Year 2000 marked the opening of the German Touring Car Masters (DTM). A total of 19 machines entered from Mercedes-Benz, Opel Astra, and Audi teams. Although the outward appearance of the cars remained faithful to their production counterparts, the "guts" were purely for racing. Most parts were standardized for all cars in order to keep costs down and reduce the performance gap between cars. The DTM became incredibly popular, as one intense dead heat race after another continued throughout the season. Among the cars entered was the Mercedes-Benz CLK. The image of the market production 2 door coupe was kept the same in the race version. The paint job on the body of the vehicle is a reproduction of actual design marked on a Mercedes car parts' box. Painted on the right and left sides are official package stickers identical to those found on the actual car parts' box.
