Description: Offered is the vintage book "Tales of Quails 'n Such", written by Havilah Babcock and published by the University of South Carolina Press in Columbia. This collection of over two dozen short stories with hunting and/or fishing themes (see photo #4 for contents) is the 1985 edition of the book, first published in 1951. There is a small black and white illustration by William J. Schaldach at the beginning of each story. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 9 1/4" x 6 1/4" and contains 240 pages. It is in very good to excellent condition. The textured green hard cover has no wear, the gold words on the spine still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean except for a gift inscription in the front. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding, clean and clear. I see no writing in the book except for the gift inscription already mentioned. The glossy dust jacket has no wear. There are a few small areas of light discoloration on the front and additonal spotting on the inside. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them! Please take a moment to look at the other items in my eBay store!
