The illustrations are breathtaking in my opinion and takes you back to another time. The cover is in good condition but the binding has an issue (see pic 3 & 4) The top of the binding there is a tear about 1.5" long by about .5" wide (see pic 3) & on the bottom binding there is a tear there about 1" long (see pic 4). The pages are in good condition there are no marks, writing, stains, tears, rips, folds, folds, bends or creases. The corners are nice and squared with no folds or bends. The pages are a very heavy stock I don't know the paper weight but I would guess almost like a very heavy heavy construction paper type weight. There is no fading to the text or illustrations. I can not say enough about the illustrations the pics do not do them justice. Just a beautiful book.
