Description: This is an extremely rare, museum quality....Taino, Zemi ritual celt or adze. It dates from the 13th century - 15th century. This is 1000% genuine!!! There are many fakes out there...but this is one of the very few genuine pieces. It's made of a beautiful black Basalt / Diorite stone. It has plenty of surface wear, patina and traces of red pigmentation. This Taino stone Celt came from the collection of Dr. Alan R. Swayer (he was a scholar and professor at the University of British Columbia). A very rare and important Taino artifact. A stunning object!!! Measurements: Length is 8 inches; width is 4.5 inches.
