Publishers red cloth boards with titles and decoration stamped in gilt to the covers and spine, black endpapers and all edges in gilt. Light edgewear, corners bumped, a few spots to the cloth, spine tips bumped and frayed and some repairs to several cracks along the spine. Front hinge just beginning to crack, and ex-libris label affixed to the front pastedown with a few bookseller notations in pencil. Overall, a complete and very readable copy of the 1889 first printing.
