Actress, dancer and choreographer, Sylvia Lewis (born 1931) had a career that spanned fifty years. A child performer in vaudeville, she received classical training at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, studying dance, voice and piano. Moving to Hollywood at age 12, she first secured parts as a dancer (Singin'in the Rain and Red Garters) and then as an actor (Drums of Tahiti). While a regular on the TV series Where's Raymond (1953), Lewis began to choreograph other shows; Who's the Boss? and Married with Children are two examples.
