Switzerland 1983 UNC 8-Coin Set - near proof quality strikes

Description: After more than 60 years of collecting it is time to move my collection along to new homes. Here is a beautiful 1983 8-coin uncirculated Swiss mint set in original case. When I first saw this set I thought it was a proof set, but those are issued with RED enclosures. You will see many of these listed on Ebay as "Proof" but the dark gray enclosures are the UNC sets - and they are striking both in design and appearance. The large center coin, the 5 Franc coin bares a wonderful design of a rugged curly haired herdsman and is often identified as the national hero William Tell. However, the mint design is not intended to be Tell but he is a tough looking mountain herdsman. The 2 Fr, 1 Fr and 1/2 Fr have a great classical design of "Helvetia" - their version of the US Lady Liberty while the 20, 10, and 5 Rappens show a great design of her profile. It was difficult to get a great shot of the coins as the mirror finish and case reflect a lot of light and I am not a professional photographer!
