As you probably guessed from the title this set is based on the famous novel by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. The white bordered sepia drawings are titled on the front with the name of the character or description of the action and the backs give further details. The classic adventure story tells the tale of Jim Hawkins who comes into the possession of a pirate treasure map which he shares with the local Squire and doctor who organise a ship to reclaim the treasure. Jim joins the ship, but the motley crew. who include a one-legged seaman called Long John Silver, although experienced are far from trustworthy. All sorts of adventures follow including mutiny, fighting with pirates, meeting a castaway and discovering the treasure. All is well in the end and Jim and his companions sail home with a new crew as wealthy men.
