Description: This listing is for a Sweet 1950s Kelly Green Floral Mexican Tourist Jacket Size XS/S (Last One). This is the very last jacket with a floral design out of my extensive collection of these jackets. All others have quickly sold. This is an iconic Mexican jacket that was made for the tourists visiting Mexico in the 1940s to the 1960s. It is a beautiful Kelly Green wool felt with intricate embroidered multicolored floral designs on the front, back, pockets, and sleeves. It has pink and yellow cross stitching around the collar, front, pockets, and cuffs. Based on the design of these large, beautifully embroidered flowers, this jacket is circa late 1950s to early 1960s. This jacket is in great condition with no holes or missing threads, and the embroidery is incredible. Any dark areas are shadows from photographing. These jackets, meant to be worn open, always look great with jeans, skirts, and especially, with the vintage Mexican circle skirts. I have a collection of over 140 of these jackets that I have amassed over the last 35 years. I have really enjoyed wearing these jackets over the years, and at this point in my life, I have decided to sell off my whole collection. I selected only jackets that were in impeccable condition. My jackets have been stored in a cedar lined, cool storage space to prevent any damage from sunlight or insects. I have collected every color and design imaginable. Most are a size S or M.
